As with the bigger Mazda3, the new Individual Plus replaces the simply titled Individual as the new range topping Mazda2, with additions consisting of a shark-fin antenna, satellite navigation, folding electric mirrors, leather seats, Heads-Up Display, side and curtain airbags, reverse camera with parking sensors and Lane Departure Warning.
While retaining the Individual's 82 kW / 145 Nm 1.5-litre SKYACTIV-G petrol engine, the Plus comes fitted as standard with a six-speed automatic gearbox, while consuming unleaded at a rate of 5.7 L/100 km with emissions pegged at 134 g/km. At the top of the range, the diesel engine automatic-only Hazumi benefits from Blind Spot Monitoring and Dynamic Stability, with power from the 1.5-litre SKYACTIV-D engine also remaining unchanged at 77 kW and 250 Nm.
A three year / unlimited km warranty and service plan over a similar length are standard across the range.
