The venue will host a motorcycle get-together in conjunction with Gold Rand Harley-Davidson. Starting at 4pm, the Carnival City parking lot will see a static display of the latest Harley-Davidson models, clothing and accessories.
As part of the promotion, Gold Rand Harley-Davidson will invite bikers with valid motorcycle riding licences to take Harley-Davidsons for a supervised spin around the complex and on the adjacent highway. The afternoon will also see a two-wheeler Concours de Elegance, open to all types of motorcycles, ranging from scooters, cruisers to Superbikes. There will be trophies and Harley-Davidson gift vouchers to be won.
During the afternoon, singers like JJ Stevens, Ricky Faber and Band, Rinel Day, Shoneill and Jean-Pierre Murphy will perform live, while a number of stalls will dispense food and drink.
After sunset, things will heat up dramatically, with two fiery stunts on the road next to the parking lot. Enrico Schoeman will be doused in petrol, set alight, and ride a motorcycle through two fire tunnels. Directly afterwards, Andre' de Kock will crash a burning car through a pyramid of burning car wrecks.
Before the stunts, a Yamaha 600TT, used by Schoeman in a stunt at last year's Rhino Motorcycle Rally, will be auctioned off, with the proceeds going directly to cancer research.
Admission to the event will be free of charge, apart from Carnival City's usual R10 per vehicle parking fee. To find out more, call Gold Rand Harley at 011 823 6713.
