Seen sporadically in a series of spy images last year, the 13 second clip posted by the three-pointed star on its Facebook page sees the GLC traversing a water crossing with nothing inherently visible. It is however in the first two seconds of the video that the GLC distinguishes itself from the outgoing model, in that it receives the same front facia design as the X-class with hints of the GLE also present.
Inside, the interior is expected to mirror that of its bigger sibling and indeed the A-class, with the inclusion of the MBUX infotainment system, the 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster as an option and Benz’s new steering wheel with the touchpad-like buttons.
An unknown entity though are the range of engine set to be offered, though expect these to be similar to the recently updated C-class, with a further possibility being the inclusion of the mild-hybrid EQ Boost system on some models. Also set to return is the AMG 63 in standard and S forms powered by the now widely used 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 engine.
Expect more details to be revealed in the coming days.
