Essentially an appearance package for the flagship 1.2 GL, exterior differences consist of blue side skirts, front and rear bumper lips, mirror capping and boot spoiler, dark grey alloy wheels shod with Goodyear Dura wheels, blue decals with RS lettering, and model's specific Article White Pearl Metallic paint. Inside, the transformation is less dramatic with blue and black seats covers being the sole addition.
As previously mentioned, the RS remains mechanically unchanged from the regular Swift with the normally aspirated 1.2-litre K12B engine still producing 63 kW and 115 Nm of torque, and driving the front wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox. Fuel consumption is again rated at 5.3 litres/100 km and emissions at 134 g/km.
A three year / 100 000 km warranty and three year / 30 000 km service plan is included in the R184 800 asking price.
