We learnt that around 1 400 people died on our roads throughout the festive period in 2013. With more than a thousand festive period accidents annually, the death, serious injury and trauma caused en route is a serious problem.

With this in mind, Autodealer has decided to do something.We’re passionate about road safety and about ensuring that our roads are a better place. Our Road Safety Ambassador is Aunty “B” and what a remarkable lady she is. Not only is she passionate about all things safety-related, she’s had her driver’s licence for more than 30 years - without incident. Together with our ambassador, we believe that we can make a difference and we can help promote safety on our roads and we can ensure that we all have a safe journey to and from our respective holiday destinations.

We’re offering a competition from the 6^th of October this year, which will run for nine weeks. To enter, simply comment on and share one of the articles that will be uploaded weekly. One comment will be chosen per week and entered into the draw. The articles are aimed at providing useful tips and information pertaining to vehicle maintenance, travel tips and much more.

The competition closes on the 8^th December and the winners will be announced on the 9^th December. The winners will be notified via Facebook and will have their photo and their prize uploaded to out Facebook page, our website and our print publication.
