GEORGE NEWS - Ladies from the George Charity Knitting Group worked hard to knit beanies, scarves and gloves for the children at Diepkloof Primary School.
They planned to hand over the items on Mandela Day, but due to the lockdown they could only hand over the donation last week.
The school principal, Mr BA Schoeman said they are all grateful for this kind gesture.
"This donation will go a long way in helping to keep the children warm during the winter evenings and early mornings when they have to wait alongside the road for the school bus. May the charity knitters go from strength to strength."
