GEORGE NEWS - People Against Substance Abuse (Pasa) is running a raffle in which one lucky person will win a brand-new Suzuki S.Presso. The raffle is part of the organisation's fundraising efforts for the many services it has been providing to the communities of George since 2006.
"Pasa's passion is focused on impacting and empowering the lives of our youth through ongoing multimedia life skills programmes for the prevention of habit- or addiction-forming substances," says Freddy Trout, founder and CEO.
"Our focus is on providing guidance to youth to make better choices, thereby generating lives of purpose and moral regeneration."
Pasa is based in George and has another branch in Kleinmond. It provides early intervention, support and aftercare services, primarily to at-risk youth in schools in the Western Cape.
Ticket sales will end on 30 November and the draw will take place on 6 December.
Tickets cost R26,13 and can be bought online at www.pasacaw.co.za. The public may also call Wayne Windvoël on 071 469 9353 or Freddy Trout on 071 090 4450 to get tickets directly from them at R20 each. Purchases of 10 or more tickets can be delivered.
Pasa's raffle, Society Lottery Scheme, is registered with the National Lotteries Commission (REG No. 00335/01).
