GEORGE NEWS - Residents and Business Owners for Wellington Street (between Courtney and Aspeling Street and Vrede Avenue are advised of water mainline upgrades due to take place and which will result in interruptions in water supply between 1 and 12 February.

As per the current construction programme, the interruptions will primarily take place on Monday and Tuesday, 1 & 2 February.

Thereafter affected residents and business owner will receive direct communication on any further interruptions at least 24 hours in advance, to only those affected homes and business owners.

Water supply interruptions will only occur during working hours between 08:00 and 17:00. 

The maintenance work on the current water supply network is of utmost importance to avoid unnecessary pipe bursts reoccurring.

Affected residents and business owners are advised to safely store water for household and business usage during the 2-week period.

We would like to thank everyone for your patience and cooperation in assisting us with the long-term improvement of your neighborhood and apologize for any inconvenience these interruptions may cause.

Please note that the Road is directed and used as a one-way leading from Courtney Street towards Denneoord.
