The A21 Walk For Freedom, now in its ninth year, involves tens of thousands of residents all over the world, taking to the streets in more than 500 cities in about 80 countries.
The walk is walked in single file and in silence and with every step you take, you raise awareness to abolish slavery.
Organised by the A21, the initiative was started because of statistics that indicate that more than 40-million people are currently enslaved due to human trafficking operations around the world. This takes many forms, including trafficking people to exploit their bodies and forced labour.
For more information, visit the A21 website or phone Clare Cooper on 082 333 8767.
