GEORGE NEWS - George Fire Brigade is actively addressing a veldfire in the Hansmoeskraal area which started yesterday, Tuesday 17 May. 

Firefighters with all required resources are on the scene.

  • Report veldfires to GRDM Emergency Call Centre 044 805 5071
  • George Municipal Fire and Disaster Services 044 801 6311 for fires only.

Garden Route District Municipality firefighters are also at the incident. The wildfire spread from a private property to one of GRDM's properties.
