Update
GEORGE NEWS - The police sergeant who was arrested on charges of corruption on Thursday 16 May, was released on bail of R2 000 yesterday in the George Magistrate's Court.
The case was postponed until 21 August.
Jydrean Heathcote, a detective attached to the Conville Police, was caught in the middle of an allegedly illegal transaction with another person during a joint undercover operation by detectives from the Eden Cluster office and the provincial anti-corruption unit in Cape Town.
