Update
GEORGE NEWS - The George Municipality Fire Department was called at 01:56 on Thursday, 8 August to respond to the fire in Conville and arrived on the scene at 02:00.
The origin and cause of the fire on the corner of Nelson Mandela Boulevard and Buitekant Street has not been determined yet and no injuries have been reported.
The fire was contained by 09:00 but extinguishing it remained challenging due to debris and the contents of the buildings hindering access.
The fire brigade continues firefighting efforts with assistance from the Garden Route District Municipality Fire Services.
