GEORGE NEWS - The woman that was killed in yesterday's accident in the CBD, has been identified as Elizabeth Mathenjwa (36).
Mathenjwa worked at George Municipality in the Corporate Services Directorate in the position of HR manager: recruitment and administration.

Executive Mayor Leon Van Wyk also expressed his sorrow at the tragic loss of life, on behalf of the George Council.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson, Sergeant Chris Spies, a Toyota Fortuner and Toyota Hilux bakkie collided at the traffic lights on the corner of Meade and Albert Streets at approximately 11:00 on Friday 14 August.
"A female passenger [in the Fortuner] sustained injuries and was declared dead by paramedics on the scene. Both drivers and the other two occupants of the Toyota Fortuner were taken to hospital for medical assistance. Circumstances surrounding this incident are being investigated," he said.
It is believed that Mathenjwa's family was rushing her to hospital when the vehicles collided.
