Students, who refused to be identified, said that this is an ongoing problem. “We have handed in our list of grievances but never get feedback. The stipends we expect is much lower than what we are paid.”
Flip Harmse, the manager of the facility said: “When I got to the premises this morning I was stopped by the police and told that there is a protest action and I can’t go further.”
During the march one of the students was struck by a car and Metro Ambulance Services was summoned. An eye-witness said it was a “hit and run.”
