GEORGE NEWS - Two new Good councillors, attorney Winston Jansen and Charly Daman, were sworn in at the George municipal council chambers on Thursday 22 October, following the departure of two councillors to the Patriotic Alliance (PA).
Jansen replaces former Good councillor Rosa Louw, while Daman takes over the seat previously held by Roxaan Vorster.
According to Good councillor Chantelle Kyd, both Louw and Vorster left the party approximately two weeks ago to join the PA.
The swearing-in of Jansen and Daman fills the vacancies left by their departures and restores Good's representation in the George municipal council.
The latest developments come just weeks before the local government elections on 4 November.
