GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - There is an interesting collaboration taking place in George on Friday, 15 November, which will offer much variety.
The South Cape Association of Visual Arts (SCAVA) extends this invitation: "Join us for a production by Petronel Baard and her Blom in Elke Vrou band, led by Franco Engelbrecht, as well as members of the South Cape Children's Choir, conducted by Jan-Erik Swart, in collaboration with SCAVA."
Sayer Auditorium
The concert will take place at 18:00 in the Sayer Auditorium of the George Museum, 9 Courtenay Road, Bodorp.
‘n Blom in Elke Vrou is a stage production by Baard that captivated audiences in 2023 at the KKNK in Oudtshoorn and the Woordfees in Stellenbosch.
It is a light, classical, poetic journey through the four seasons, exploring our African identity through indigenous plant life.
Flower
The production has this premise: "There is a flower in each of us, deserving all the care in the universe."
The performance also refers to our inner journey and seasons.
SCAVA artists will exhibit works depicting indigenous flora and landscapes within the themes of summer, autumn, winter and spring.
Tickets
Book your tickets at R220 per person online through Quicket.
