GEORGE NEWS - The Garden Route SPCA (GRSPCA) inspectors certainly can't complain that they have a boring job.
On Tuesday morning at 08:00 they received a call about a bull with his head stuck in a bucket.
"We got the call from law enforcement who saw the bull on one of their cameras in Thembalethu," said GRSPCA manager Salomé Bruyns.
"Inspectors Henrico Pypers and André Baartman rushed to the scene to find a panic-stricken bull running around with a plastic bucket
stuck to his head." Bruyns is extremely proud of
her inspectors as it can be life-threatening trying to help a huge, stressed animal.
"It was quite a struggle, but they eventually managed to coax him into a fenced camp from where they could cut the bucket loose with a side cutter," Bruyns said.
According to Pypers and Baartman the bull was very calm after the ordeal - obviously most grateful that he had been saved.
A very relieved, but tired bull after the bucket was removed.
