GEORGE NEWS - The Garden Route SPCA's (GRSPCA) Facebook page is currently out of action after being mistakenly identified as an impersonator account.
"As a result, our page was not only suspended but removed entirely," said Samantha Trietsch, GRSPCA's marketing and fundraising manager.
This unexpected setback means the many animals in the SPCA's care are not receiving the online exposure they rely on to find loving homes.
"Our animals should not have to suffer due to technical issues beyond our control," Trietsch said.
The organisation is actively working to restore the page, but the process is proving complex and time-consuming.
In the meantime, the GRSPCA urges the public to visit them in Ossie Urban Road and meet the animals still waiting for their forever homes.
