Update
MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Shadreck Methu, the man accused of killing Hartenbos businessman Desmond Share (53) in August 2023, made a brief appearance in the Mossel Bay Regional Court on Friday 20 February for his pre-trial conference, which was postponed to 10 April.
The trial date, however, which the court set in December, is still expected to be 12 August.
Share’s family reported him missing on 1 August 2023 after he had left Hartenbos in his Ford Ranger that morning on a business trip to Herbertsdale and never returned. His body was found in some bushes near Albertinia on 5 August.
Methu was arrested in Du Noon, Cape Town, shortly afterwards. He was charged with murder, hijacking and kidnapping.
Three other suspects in the case are still at large.
