GEORGE NEWS - Seed International’s George branch last week engaged on a three-day Covid-19 awareness campaign at the Thembalethu Mall. CEO Richard Iga said they gave out masks, water and sanitiser.
Seed International led the campaign together with a team of youth musicians and other local NGOs such as Ithemba Lobombi - whose social workers participated - and many other community health workers in George.
“We would like to thank the local businesses in George like Kloppers, CAW Printers, Megamor, Renault George and the Thembalethu Mall management for their support and cooperation in order to bring out the much-needed awareness campaign for our community.
"We also thank Tradelink which donated masks and T-shirts,” he said.
Iga requested the public to adhere to safety measures that government put in place to slow down the Covid-19 infection rate.
“It’s our call as an organisation to request everyone to be vigilant and responsible during this time of the year,” he said.
