GEORGE NEWS - Saasveld forestry students from 1972, 1973 and 1974 will be celebrating their 50-year reunion on the weekend of 21 and 22 April.

On Friday 21 April, festivities will start at their old favourite hangout, the Fairy Knowe Hotel in Wilderness, with a finger supper.

Long-lost friends and colleagues will be able to reminisce about their Saasie days where their bonds and friendships were formed. Music for this event will be provided by fellow Saasies.

On Saturday 22 April, there will be a walk-about in the morning at the old college and campus.

Thereafter all old foresters will get together at Van Kervel School for their annual Bosbouers braai.
