GEORGE NEWS - Much-needed renovations on the George Museum have started during the week. Signage of the contracting company, Ruwacon, and equipment on the premises have been drawing the attention of passers-by.
George Museum manager Lorinda Hakima referred George Herald to the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport for official comment.
Stacy McLean, spokesperson for the cultural affairs minister who had received the newspaper's query on Tuesday 15 February, said on Friday that it had been forwarded to the Department of Transport and Public Works.
Their feedback is being awaited for further details on the project.
