GEORGE NEWS AND VIDEO - The protesters are moving up York Street towards the Civic Centre.
Both lanes, driving in the direction of Unity Park, will be closed.
Traffic officials are in place to assist flow of traffic.
The march is peaceful and no violence has been reported.
Residents of Thembalethu are taking part in the service delivery protest, and will hand over a memorandum at the Civic Centre.
They will then move to the Magistrate's Court and Department of Education.
