Update
GEORGE NEWS - The protesters have reached their last stop of the day - the education department in Courtenay Street.
The stretch of Courtney Street between Wellington Street and Mitchell Street was closed for traffic on both sides in order to manage the area.
Four memorandums with demands were handed out during the protest march.
The recipients of the memorandums - the municipality, SAPS, Department of Education and Department of Transport - have 14 days to respond.
The marchers will now disperse.
