GEORGE NEWS - George Municipality is closing Pienaar Street between Rosemoor and Conville due to flood damage.
A resident has warned earlier that motorists should avoid the street as the road was starting to break up in the drift through the Molen River where two adults and two children were washed away in the 2006 floods.
Pienaar Street has been closed on both sides of the bridge in Conville.
Madiba Drive (Old Saasveld Road) between George and NMU has also been closed.
