This promises to be a day of fun with educational science activities for kids of all ages to participate in. Entry to the expo is R20 per person and includes entry to the Transport Museum and a free R20 booklet of vouchers to be used at the various hands-on exhibitions throughout the day.
Just some of the interactive demonstrations and challenges running throughout the day are:
- Construction activities
- Stacking challenges
- Pulleys and levers
- Mind puzzles and challenges
- Investigative displays
- DIY activities such as 'make your own alien slime or bath bubbles'
- Origami (paper folding) challenges
- Circuits
- Science investigations
- Railway society demonstrations (model trains)
The expo will be opened on Friday 2 August from 18:00 with a display by Anderson's Martial Arts Academy. Their students will be demonstrating the 'science of kickboxing'. Limited seats are available at R20 and tickets can be purchased in advance from Lion Hanlie on 072 906 2533.

A highlight of the expo will be an exhibit by PetroSA's Centre of Excellence and their mobile lab - come and learn more about the processes that takes place at the PetroSA site in Mossel Bay.
A live broadcast by EDENfm will take place between 10:00 and 13:00, so come and meet the team behind 'Your Voice in Paradise'!
Come hungry. Boerewors rolls, pancakes and various refreshments will be on sale and there will be a daddy daycare centre especially for dad as the premises is licensed and the bar will be open all day.
