GEORGE NEWS – Conville Police station opened a case of reckless and negligent driving after a female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on the N2 between Thembalethu and Lawaaikamp on Friday evening, 1 August.
The incident occurred at approximately 18:00.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson, Sergeant Christopher Spies, a preliminary report suggests the woman was attempting to cross the highway when she was hit.
He said she sustained serious injuries to her legs and was transported to hospital for treatment.
Spies confirmed the circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
