GEORGE NEWS - Garden Route District Municipality executive manager of Road Services, Hans Ottervanger (second from left), has retired after 26 years of service.
He was honoured for his service on Monday with a certificate, many blessings from the councillors and some singing - For he's a jolly good fellow - on request of the Speaker, Barend Groenewald.
Wishing him well on his retirement are, from left: Municipal Manager Monde Stratu, Hans and his wife Lenette, DA Chief Whip Jerome Lambaatjeen and Icosa Councillor Theresa Fortuin.
