GEORGE NEWS - Last Wednesday, 16 June, while most South Africans commemorated the heroes and heroines who lost their lives at Sharpville in 1976, many other South Africans celebrated Youth Day in a different way.
On 18 June, employees of PnP at the Garden Route Mall took the stage for 15 minutes, sending strong messages to the youth of George, especially to those caught in the web of alcohol and drug abuse at an early age.
Wearing black and blue refuse bags to show that drug use should be rubbished and placards displaying their message, they supported President Cyril Ramaphosa's announcement of shortened liquor sale hours as part of Level 3 restrictions.
