GEORGE NEWS - The Dormehlsdrift Neighbourhood Watch received a valuable donation of 11 brand-new handheld radios from George Municipality on Wednesday 26 February.
This donation was made possible by Ward Councillor Iona Kritzinger and ward committee members who coordinated the process.
Timothy Luff, chairperson of the neighbourhood watch, accepted the radios on behalf of the organisation.
He emphasised that community safety should be a top priority and said the new radios will help neighbourhood watch members communicate more effectively and perform their duties even better.
