However, this will not give motorists access between George and Oudtshoorn as the Outeniqua Pass will be closed for at least 10 to14 days due to yesterday’s rockfalls, but at least visitors from the N9 (the road between Uniondale and Oudtshoorn) will be accommodated.
Once the Outeniqua Pass has been reopened, motorists will once again be able to travel between Oudthsoorn and George.
The Robinson Pass (via Mossel Bay) still remains an alternative route to Oudtshoorn.
