GEORGE NEWS - Thembalethu Detectives opened a murder case after the body of an unidentified man was found in Zone 6, Thembalethu on Thursday 27 March at about 12:40.
"Preliminary reports available indicate police were summoned to a scene where the body of the man was found.
"On arrival the police established that the victim had several open wounds to the head, believed to be inflicted with sharp objects," says Southern Cape police spokesperson Sgt Chris Spies.
Spies says circumstances surrounding his death are under investigation.
"We appeal to the public to come forward with any information in this matter as well as to assist in tracing the next of kin of the deceased."
