Update

GEORGE NEWS - George Municipality has sent out a request to all motorists to avoid using York Street between Victoria and the bottom traffic circle today, if possible.

Heavy trucks will be travelling down York Street from the collapsed building site at 75 Victoria Street.

Drivers are asked for patience and understanding of the situation and to plan their travel routes and times accordingly.

Everybody’s cooperation in ensuring a safe and efficient transportation environment is greatly appreciated.
