GREAT BRAK NEWS - The memorial service for Great Brak River Museum leader Rene de Kock is taking place at the museum at 12:30 this Thursday, 20 June.
De Kock, who was born on 1 April 1938, passed away on Monday night, 10 June.
Huge contribution
He was head of the Great Brak Museum for many years and made a huge contribution to the community of Great Brak and beyond.
De Kock was passionate about the museum and about history. He was also chairman of the society, Heritage Mossel Bay, for a number of years.
Fitting venue
It was decided by his family that the museum was a fitting venue for honouring him and celebrating his life, because he was so dedicated to making the museum a success.
It is located at 13 Amy Searle Street.
Light refreshments will be served.
