GEORGE NEWS - A 19-year-old suspect is arrested following the death of a 20-year-old man in Reigerpark, Pacaltsdorp, on New Year’s Day.
Police Spokesperson Sgt. Chris Spies said they are investigating a murder.
The victim was found in an open field near Sunstone and Topaz Streets at about 20:00 last night, 1 January.
“Police were dispatched to the scene where a man was found in an open field where he collapsed.
On arrival at the scene, they found the man with a stab wound inside the ambulance. He was declared dead by paramedics,” says Spies.
The 19-year-old suspect will appear in court once charged.
“As this is an ongoing investigation, more suspects could be arrested as the investigation unfolds,” says Spies.
