GEORGE NEWS - A dog from George can thank its lucky stars for the efficiency of the Garden Route SPCA team and the local fire department after he was rescued from a cliff face on the Voëlklip road near Herold’s Bay on Sunday 8 October.
According to GRSPCA inspector Estelanie van Wyk, Charlie found himself in a bit of a pickle when he followed his nose down the cliff while on a walk with his owners and couldn’t get back up.
Charlie’s owners contacted the GRSPCA and the fire department and four hours later, after much deliberation, blood, sweat and tears, Charlie was brought to safety.
