GEORGE NEWS - Youth Day was celebrated in style at Life Community Services as they held their 9th annual Mini Olympics Sports Day on Saturday 16 June. Children, teachers and families came together to enjoy a day of fun and celebration at the Life property in Parkdene.
The children who participated came from Happy Feet Learning Centres in Parkdene, Thembalethu, and Conville.
The Grade 1 and 2 learners from Life Christian Academy also showed their athletic skills on the day. Staff, parents and some of the older children took part in a race. They did this in fine style, many of them earning medals for their accomplishments.
There were also jumping castles and eats and goodies were sold to support the fun day and serve as a fund raiser. The highlight of the day was the wonderful team spirit displayed by the various groups and the staff were encouraged by the enthusiasm of the learners' families.
