GEORGE NEWS - Jonga High School in Thembalethu honoured its top learners at its valedictory ceremony on Monday afternoon, 23 October in the school hall.
Apart from academic excellence, learners were also acknowledged for other achievements, including the sport award, discipline award, cleanliness award and leadership award.
Grade 12 learners Sisipho Ntsokota and Kamva Dyantyi starred as the top achievers in Grade 12, receiving the trophy and certificates, while Ayabulela Joja received the certificate for his achievements in soccer.
Sisipho wished her classmates very good luck with the final examinations, saying, "Yimithi yodwa ekhula ime ndawonye, kodwa wena nje ngamntu hamba uhambe uxel' ibhekile ijikeleza inkode."
She said that appearing on stage was a magnificent experience as it was her last time in front of the people who helped shape her.
About the final exams, she said that she will continue to work harder and let God lead the way.
