GEORGE NEWS - Citizens are invited to do their bit for our natural heritage on Heritage Day, Friday 24 September.
Join the Garden Route Dam Action Group (Gardag) and help clean the Kat River, George's beautiful green corridor, of trash.
The Kat River is a precious water resource that feeds into the Garden Route Dam, and the Charlotte Street riverbank, where the clean-up will take place, has the potential to be a urban oasis.
Please come from 09:00 onwards to the Charlotte Street riverbank in Denneoord near Môreson Children's Home (take the Wellington Street turn-off).
Bring gloves, tongs and black bags to give our natural heritage a clean-up.
Gardag will appreciate all help, even if you come to show your support for only an hour.
