GEORGE NEWS - Animal lovers in George are invited to a special fundraising event this Saturday, 26 July, in support of a new local animal welfare initiative making waves in the community.
Sentiara, founded by seasoned animal welfare inspector Salomé Bruyns, will host its first-ever fundraiser at Her Empire at 10:00, and everyone is welcome.
With over two decades of experience in the field, Bruyns is well known for her hands-on approach and unwavering commitment to animals in need.
Through Sentiara, she hopes to expand her outreach, focusing on education, community upliftment and responsible pet ownership.
“We want to do more than just rescue; we want to change lives through education and support,” says Bruyns.
Saturday’s event promises a moving and memorable programme, including a hearty meal, dessert and the chance to meet Stevie Wonder, Sentiara’s blind rescue dog, whose story of resilience has touched many hearts. His incredible journey from neglect to recovery will be shared with the guests.
All proceeds will go directly to Sentiara’s outreach and education projects in under-resourced communities.
