GEORGE NEWS - Holy Cross Primary School had several winners at the Garden Route Eisteddfod award ceremony where their learners delivered outstanding performances.
Holy Cross learner Siena Torley performed her dramatised poem at the eisteddfod, receiving an A+++.
She was invited to perform at the gala evening and also received the award for the Best Junior Performance in Poetry at the eisteddfod's prize-giving ceremony.
Young pianist Jake Pheiffer (11) won the award for Top Junior Pianist at the ceremony for his splendid performance of three piano solos.
The award for Top Instrumental Ensemble went to Holy Cross Grade 4 Percussion Group, who played a joyful medley of nursery tunes.
The Bella Voce Vocal Ensemble won the award for Best Vocal Ensemble of the Eisteddfod with their outstanding performance of the song Tightrope at the gala evening.
