GEORGE NEWS - NSRI LIFEGUARDS and George Municipality have temporarily closed Herold’s Bay beach, late this afternoon, 6 January as a safety precaution following sightings of multiple sharks, spotted with the assistance of a drone.
The beach closure is a temporary measure, in the interest of public safety. The municipality said in a short statement: "We apologise for the inconvenience and will reopen the beach for swimming as soon as it is safe to do so."
