GEORGE NEWS - Ithemba Lobomi, a community-based non-profit organisation operating in Thembalethu, Pacaltsdorp, and in the Touwsranten area, is asking for donations to help host a wellness day.
The day is intended to show support and appreciation to their field workers and 106 staff members. It will be taking place on Friday 9 November.
The organisation has five projects, which include home care; professional nurses and home-based carers going door to door recruitment and home visits; screening whole households in women's health, crèche wellness and medical male circumcision; community family support services; community adherence support; and an after-school programme that supplies grief and loss counselling for orphaned and vulnerable children.
The following donations are needed:
- Pegs
- Magnets
- Glitter
- Glue
- Décor stickers
- Beads
- Food (muffins, cupcakes)
- Bottled water
- Small juices
- Fruit
