GEORGE NEWS - The term ‘Blue Monday’ has taken on a whole new meaning since Georgians started dressing up in blue every Monday in a massive show of support for Idols finalist, Elvis Blue. Blue is from George and a huge favourite to win the 2010 SA Idols competition.

With their blue outfits local organisations and individuals are encouraging Elvis supporters to vote for our home boy.
The drive was started on Facebook and his fans are encouraged to post pics of themselves on Elvis’ Idols Facebook page.

The George Herald is supporting the drive to get everyone to vote and has also asked readers to send us pictures of themselves dressed in blue.

If Elvis walks off with the Idols crown, we want to see a sea of blue in George and not a single soul feeling blue.

Voting lines are open, and you can vote until 22:00 on Monday. SMS 10 to 37400, or call 086 227 7710 from your Telkom landline, or 083 901 0210 from your cellphone, or vote for Elvis on MXit. The winner will be announced on Tuesday, 2 November.

The young people at LIFE Commuity Services are all dressed up in blue in support of their favourite idol. Many of these children know Elvis Blue really well, as he has taught guitar at LIFE for many years.
