GEORGE NEWS - A fundraiser for the Rosemoor Old Age Home and Market Community Theatre comes in the delightful package of a concert this coming Saturday evening.
Daveymac and Marike will perform in A trip down memory lane, with songs from Abba, UB40, Edith Piaf and Smokie on 12 October at 19:00.
The fundraiser is an initiative of Rotary, where the proceeds will be equally donated to the old age home and the theatre, which needs new lights.
Marike is a successful singer, songwriter and guitarist with a dynamic personality.
Daveymac played professionally in Hillbrow in the 70s, among others for the South African country stars Johnny and Marie Gibson.
Nowadays Daveymac and Marike perform regularly at Beacon Island Hotel and other Garden Route venues. Both artists are donating their skills and time for this show. Book a ticket at R125 on Webtickets or at Pick n Pay.
