GEORGE NEWS - dotsure.co.za is calling on local businesses with a conscience to make waves of goodwill at the 4th annual Polar Bear Plunge taking place at Victoria Bay on 27 July.
Feeling brave? Enter your team of colleagues and bold the cold for kittens, pups and people in need.
Last year, thanks to the good hearts in Eden, the Polar Bear Plunge collected and donated 732 blankets to the needy via organisations like AACL, SPCA, Rotary George, Thanda Jesu and more. This year, we want you to help us break that record and reach 1 000 blankets!
Imagine hundreds of human polar bears stripping down to their bathing suits to feel winter as the less privileged would - no wetsuit, no extra clothing. Brrrrr! Then everyone jumps into the icy ocean in a wild gesture of appreciation for the warmth and shelter they have.
Last year's Plunge saw local businesses winning cash for charity, with a full
R20 000 going to Sports Academy George on behalf of Stiles George, whose Plunge gees dominated the cold and won over the crowds.
Will your business get Freezin' for a Reason or be left out in the cold? We dare you to shiver, shake and show other businesses what it takes.
Entering your team is as easy as 1 2 3:
1. Pledge to plunge by e-mailing marelize@dotsure.co.za to secure your spot;
2. Start collecting blankets; and
3. Challenge other companies to join.
Together we can make a difference to the lives of many.
Show the Garden Route community that you care and play your part as a business with heart by joining the Polar Bear Plunge 2019. Call Marelize on 044 805 3522 or e-mail marelize@dotsure.co.za.
