GEORGE NEWS - National Parliament has arranged public hearings on land expropriation without compensation and the hearing closest to George will take place in Oudtshoorn on 1 August from 11:00 to 16:00 at the Oudtshoorn Thusong Centre.
On 24 July there will be a build up to the above whereby the Provincial DA Leader Bonginkosi Madikizela, Deputy Leader Albert Fritz, Provincial Chairperson Anton Bredell and Minister Alan Winde will set the narrative for the public hearing.
Again, this will be in Oudtshoorn, but the venue and time will be confirmed.
Wilderness ward Councillor Marlene Barnardt urge all Georgians to attend. “I would like to encourage people to attend the hearing on 1 August. This in an incredibly important matter that affects every South African. Let's use to opportunity to voice our opinions.”
