GEORGE NEWS - The George Open Gardens held last Saturday attracted more visitors than last year.
Organiser Philda Bekenstein was chuffed with the good support for the event - the proceeds of which will go to George welfare organisation Badisa, and is looking forward to next year's event.
The Open Gardens is an annual event to which the town's gardeners look forward to with great excitement.
Philda has been coordinating the event for the past few years, as she and her husband Desmond (Dr) enjoy visiting gardens both here and in Europe.
She has always maintained that the Garden Route deserves to have open gardens. Visit her website www.gardenroutegardens.co.za.
