GEORGE NEWS - The George Lights Festival seemingly went off without a hitch on Saturday 7 December.
The beautiful lights were switched on by Mayor Jackie von Brandis at 20:00 tonight.
Before switching on the lights, Von Brandis was joined on stage by some of her councillors.
Hundreds of people attended the event and the weather did not disappoint. Local artists entertained the crowd and a variety of stalls offered eats, drinks, toys and local crafts.
The lights can be seen in York and Courtenay Streets.
