GEORGE NEWS - “As George Airport, we are always ready and available to welcome new passengers and more numbers, because of the facilities we have.”
This is how Brenda Vorster, manager of the George Airport, today reacted to the news that Plettenberg Bay’s airport has been downgraded by the South African Civil Aviation Authority (Sacaa).
Airline operator CemAir, which has been offering flights between Plettenberg Bay and major city centres for the past seven years, announced this week that it had to suspend all of its flights into the coastal holiday town with immediate effect.
Flights will be redirected to George Airport.
“Our airport facilities are always ready to deliver on the promise to give our customers an excellent and seamless experience,” said Vorster.
“We will be working closely with the airline to ensure that we bring in all our customers whilst ensuring our compliancy to all Covid-19 regulations. Airports Company South Africa prides ourselves in ensuring the safety of all our valued customers. Protecting you, Protecting us.”
